This position involves providing patient observation and inpatient care within the Med Surg Unit at a hospital setting. The registered nurse will perform assessments, administer treatments, and support patient education to ensure comprehensive care for a diverse patient population. Job Details Position: RN in Medical Surgical Floor specialty located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Schedule: Day shift from 6:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., 3 days per week, with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Certifications, Education, and Experience: Candidates must have a graduate of an accredited RN program, current RN license in Colorado or a Compact state, BLS certification, ACLS certification, PALS certification, minimum 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room experience, previous traveler experience, Cerner electronic health record experience, and basic computer skills. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, IV and blood therapies, cardiac monitoring, patient and family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Essential skills include knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation, infection prevention, confidentiality, and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires physical ability to assist with patient movement and potential exposure to various hazards in a hospital environment.
