Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,201 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13‑week assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Candidates should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. TotalMed RN is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds easily; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Minimum 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (approximately 2 years).
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
