Job Summary

A Medical Surgical Floor (MS) RN position is available in Wheeling, West Virginia. This role involves providing care on a 52-bed unit with a focus on post-operative, neuro, and general medical patients.

Job Details

• Location: Wheeling, WV
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM, with weekends and holidays scheduled as per rotation.
• Staff may submit up to 6 requests off within a 6-week schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience on a General Surgical or Medical Surgical unit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with peritoneal dialysis and reading strip experience (if applicable)

Additional Information

• Unit handles ortho post-ops, neuro post-ops, general post-ops, medical diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis, and infections.
• The unit includes in-house 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, IV team, pharmacy, and RT support.
• The unit primarily uses Allscripts for charting and has a hospital level of care.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
