Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,145 per week

Job Summary

The Medical Surgical Floor nursing position is located in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves providing care to patients with diverse medical conditions in an acute care setting, with a focus on neurological and postoperative patients. The position offers evenings shift coverage, requiring flexibility to work scheduled weekends and holidays.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Valid license to submit; willingness to wait for licensure
• Strong neuro experience
• Proficiency with G-tubes
• Recent Epic electronic health record experience
• Experience with common neuro diagnoses including stroke, seizures, and post-op spine patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic experience is highly preferred

Unit Details

• Unit operates with nurse aides (3 per shift) and RT availability 24/7
• RTs manage vents and BIPAP/CPAP equipment; RNs are not required to have ventilator experience
• Telemetry is available; RN staff do not have to read strips but verify monitor tech readings in Epic
• Orientation: One shift on the unit
• Holiday Requirement: Yes, scheduled into the holiday rotation
• Dress Code: Any combination of white and royal blue scrubs
• Float: Possibly to 7 East, 7 West, 7 NE, or 10 East units; flexibility required
