Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,105 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position located in an acute care hospital setting in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing routine and complex nursing care in a basic medical-surgical unit, working independently with awareness of all relevant clinical aspects. The assigned shift is days, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with minimum weekly hours of 36. The position is available to start on October 5, 2026, and will continue through January 2, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care following the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitor for side effects, and document patient history and care provided
• Assess patient and family education needs; provide guidance and support as appropriate
• Make appropriate care assignments and delegate duties to support staff as necessary
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice

Requirements

• Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
• BLS certification via AHA
• 0+ years of nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred)

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
