Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,505 per week

Travel nurse RN Med Surg position in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Duration: 13 weeks. Specialty: Med Surg. Discipline: RN. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience (Medical Surgical RN).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds easily; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
