About the role

Travel Labor and Delivery Nurse Float position within a designated facility. This role involves providing specialized obstetric and neonatal care in a dynamic environment, with the flexibility to float to Med/Surg and Emergency Department as needed. The position requires critical thinking, ability to interpret fetal strips, and adherence to established clinical protocols to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide OB/neonatal patient care
  • Interpret fetal monitoring strips
  • Manage titratable drips including oxytocin, insulin, magnesium
  • Perform patient transfers and vital sign assessments
  • Assist with patient ambulation and transfers
  • Work with respiratory therapy equipment
  • Document care in the Meditech electronic medical record system
  • Float to Med/Surg and ER units as required
  • Work in a locked unit, perform bedside care, and assist with transfer paperwork

Requirements

  • Valid RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of obstetric and neonatal care experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (required)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (preferred)
  • STABLE certification (preferred)
  • Ability to work every other weekend and holiday
  • No full-time, part-time, or PRN employment within any facility associated with the organization in the past 12 months
  • Request for Time Off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; additional RTO requests are not accommodated

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment starting 09/21/2026
  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (days)
  • Shift hours: 0645–1915 or 1845–0715
  • Includes every other weekend and holiday

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
