About the role
A registered nurse specializing in Maternal Child Health located in the area is sought to provide compassionate, patient-centered care within the Labor and Delivery department. This role involves collaborative patient care planning, assessment, and intervention, including labor, postpartum, and neonatal care, with additional cross-training in neonatal intensive care. The position requires responsiveness to patient needs and active engagement with families to ensure optimal birthing experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and Neonatal Intensive Care units.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.
- Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills related to maternal and neonatal health.
- Participate in patient assessments, care planning, and family education with a focus on person-centered care and safety standards.
- Float to other hospital departments outside Maternal Child Health (e.g., Postpartum, NICU, or Labor and Delivery) on a rotational basis as required.
Requirements
- State license verification.
- Applicable certifications.
- Evidence of nursing education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, or NICU care.
Schedule
- Night shifts, 12 hours.
- Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Start date: September 28, 2026.
- Assignment duration: 13 weeks (ending December 27, 2026).
