Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,505 per week
About the Role
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in a hospital environment in Sun City West, Arizona. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in labor and during postpartum, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The position requires delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while coordinating closely with the multidisciplinary team to support optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess maternal and fetal health and monitor labor progress.
- Administer medications and provide patient education.
- Assist with deliveries and respond promptly to changing patient conditions.
- Document all care accurately and support the facility’s quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, neonatal staff, and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification.
- Experience in the Labor and Delivery department or similar acute care setting within the past 12 months.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in labor and delivery or related specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Professional certification related to childbirth or maternal health.
- Additional education or experience in maternal-newborn nursing.
Schedule
- 13-week assignment starting 09/08/2026.
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts.
- Minimum of 36 hours per week.
