Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,340 per week

Job Summary

The labor and delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is based in a healthcare facility located in WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to adolescent and adult female patients, neonates, and during cesarean sections within a Level 2 nursery setting. The nurse will deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with the health care team, ensuring adherence to established clinical standards and guidelines.

Schedule

Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift times, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience in Epic electronic medical record system required.

Preferred Qualifications

• STABLE certification (not required but preferred).

Additional Information

• The role involves delivering care in a labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, nursery, and neonatal intensive care unit.
• Nurses may assist with cesarean sections, responsible only for the baby, without scrubbing in on surgeries.
• The unit includes 12 labor, delivery, postpartum rooms; 3 triage beds; 16 nursery beds; and 3 NICU beds.
• Staff may be scheduled to assist in pediatric or acute care areas during low census periods, but will not serve as primary nurse in those units.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
