Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,668 per week

Start Date: 09/21/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | 36 hours per week | Shift: 12 hours, days (6:30 AM–7:00 PM)

Employment Type: Travel | Local & travel candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in a 64-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), including 15 designated Neuro beds
  • Manage adult patients (ages 18+) with conditions such as Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op cases
  • Operate and monitor equipment including temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and Neptune VapoChronic
  • Care for chronic ventilator patients, including those unable-to-wean with RT support
  • Float to other units as required
  • Adhere to block scheduling (not guaranteed) and work overtime as needed (daily after 24 hrs / weekly after 48 hrs)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience (required)
  • Active NY RN license (all RN licenses verified through Nursys)
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • EPIC EMR experience (required)
  • Strong cardiac, neuro, and stepdown skills
