Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,140 per week

About the Role

This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a busy Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), supporting a diverse patient population including neuro, cardiac, and medical-surgical cases. The role requires charge responsibility and experience working in a teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with diagnoses such as stroke, cardiac conditions, neuro issues, and other high-acuity cases
• Work the night shift on a 12-hour schedule with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Take on charge responsibility as required
• Contribute to a supportive team culture, frequently encountering students and new hires
• Participate in orientation (held every other Monday)

Required Qualifications

• Active VA or Compact Nursing License
• Minimum of 2 years of work history
• Documentation of all employment gaps over 90 days
• Offer restrictions related to COVID/Flu declinations are accepted
• Prior charge experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a teaching environment
• Prior charge nurse experience
• Cerner electronic health record system proficiency
