Job Description & Requirements
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Southampton, New York.
- Start Date: August 10, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, nights
Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred)
- TNCC, NIHSS certification (may be required)
Essential Work Functions
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients
- Administer complex medications and treatments
- Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
- Maintain patient safety and comfort
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses
- Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Provide patient education
- Adhere to infection control protocols
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read/write in English
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and use a computer
- Physical abilities: remain in a stationary position, move about, lift up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel
- Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers, work under close supervision, work without assistance from other personnel, and concentrate on detail
- Sensory: possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
