Job Details

  • Variable day and night shifts
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when unit is closed)
  • Primary location at Howard Young Medical Center
  • Floated to other units as needed, including potential float to Medical/Surgical unit
  • Floated to Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk locations (floating can and will be prescheduled)
  • May be placed on low census call; call back minimum is 2 hours
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • 10-bed ICU/IMC unit with 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit
  • Patient ratios: 1:2 in ICU, 1:3-1:4 for IMC, and 1:5-1:6 for Medical/Surgical
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Any color scrubs permitted
  • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; one travel assignment preferred but not required
  • Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

The facility is part of a larger health system with multiple regional locations, allowing for collaborative care across sites. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes EPIC for electronic charting to support efficient and effective clinical workflows.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
