About the role
- 12-hour day shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- No on-call or callback requirements
- Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours—may be low censused in hour increments; unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments
- Care for Neuro ICU patient population including Stroke, TBI, head injury, and Neurosurgery patients in an 8-bed unit
- Primary procedures include Neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures such as line placement and intubation
- Neuro-specific procedures include bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery
Requirements
- Strong Neuro assessment skills required
- Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
- Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience required with Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background; 1 travel assignment preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
- Associate Degree or Certificate required
- Any color scrubs acceptable

Pay
Estimated gross weekly pay: $2,268 plus a $500 contract completion bonus.
