Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,260 per week

About the role

The organization is seeking a qualified registered nurse for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position in the ICU specialty. This role involves providing primary care to critically ill patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, post surgical conditions, wound care, IV antibiotics, and cardiac issues. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 critical care environment with various patient care responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support a unit with 8 beds, caring for ventilated and sedated patients
• Perform PEG tube care and feedings
• Manage CVC/PICC/Midline usage
• Titrate vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips
• Provide primary care and work with in-house hospitalist or intensivist teams 24/7
• Utilize Phillips telemetry monitors for patient tracking

Requirements

• Active Illinois license or confirmation of application process
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday rotations
• Possible floating to Medical-Surgical units
