Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,260 per week

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse opportunity in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves providing comprehensive ICU patient care in a critical care setting, specializing in managing ventilated patients, titrating drips, and performing advanced treatments. The role requires high-stakes clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications through AHA
• A minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience or relevant clinical skills and certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PEG tube care/feedings
• CVC/PICC/Midline care
• Tracheostomy patients
• Titrating of vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips such as Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, and Cardizem

Duties

Provide primary ICU care, including managing ventilated patients, troubleshooting telemetry monitors, and participating in clinical protocols as required. Critical care nurses may float to other units such as Medical-Surgical (MS) when needed.

About the Role

Unit Details: Critical Care unit with 8 beds, nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3, in-house respiratory therapy available 24/7, and telemetry monitoring with Phillips monitors.

• Classroom and on-unit orientation provided, with specific scrubs dress code

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
