Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,210 per week

About the role

ThedaCare Waupaca is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) RN in Waupaca, WI. This position involves providing high-quality patient care during 12-hour night shifts in a Level IV Trauma Center, with a focus on stepdown and med/surg patient needs. The role offers an opportunity to work in a rural hospital environment with higher acuity care than traditional ICU settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU/stepdown unit during 12-hour night shifts
• Care for patients in a 20-bed stepdown/med-surg unit with higher acuity than standard ICU
• Manage patients on drips
• Maintain patient ratios typically 1:5, which can rise to 1:7 during busy periods
• Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation
• Float minimally to other facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed

Qualifications

• Current WI RN License
• AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2+ years of experience
• Stepdown experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable with patients on drips
• Critical access experience preferred
• Charting experience within the last year using EPIC
• Candidates must be from facilities located beyond 50 miles of ThedaCare Corporate Center in Neenah, WI
• Prior travel experience is preferred

Schedule

• Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Shift start time: 7 p.m., shift ends at 7 a.m.
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
