About the role
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse position is based in a healthcare organization within Greenville, NC. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a tertiary care facility, utilizing advanced skills within the ICU setting, including neuro-critical care procedures and management of complex respiratory and circulatory conditions.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing NIHSS scoring
- Performing lumbar puncture
- Managing ventriculostomy
- ICP management
- Arterial line placement and maintenance
- Central line placement and maintenance
- Managing cranial drains
- Mechanical ventilation
- Administering IV drips (pain, sedation, vasopressors)
- Temperature management
- CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy)
- Floating to areas of equal or lesser care as needed
Requirements
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Experience in a tertiary care facility
- Minimum of 1 year ICU experience
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records preferred
- Solid black or white uniform dress code
- Availability to start on 10/26/2026
Schedule
- Nights shift
- 12‑hour shifts
- Minimum commitment of 36 hours per week
- Assignment duration: 13 weeks (start 10/26/2026, end 01/24/2027)
