Unit Information

Location: Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant, 8201 Ewing Halsell, San Antonio, TX 78229, 2nd Floor, Methodist Transplant Institute

Unit Overview: Outpatient Post-Transplant Kidney Clinic. The largest living kidney donor program in the U.S. and largest deceased donor program in TX. Opening is to help manage the patients post-transplant.

Facility Details: 9 Post-Transplant Clinic Exam Rooms (23 total rooms) | 11 staff in post-transplant clinic (65 total staff) | EMR: Meditech and Presidio Teleresults

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. No call, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Triage post-transplant patient calls
• Order and review lab results and escalate when needed
• Schedule testing when indicated (transplant biopsy, diagnostic exam)
• Enter electronic prescriptions
• Clinic prep
• Patient assessments if needed

Required Qualifications

• Multi-tasking and prioritization
• Critical thinking
• Excellent customer service
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Patient triage experience
• Working with high call volumes
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
