About the role

The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse for a rotating shift position in Evanston, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized patient care in the ICU setting, with a focus on neuro and stroke patient management, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care in the ICU setting, focusing on neuro and stroke patient management
• Adhere to clinical standards and protocols
• Float to other units and potentially other facilities such as Skokie, Highland Park, Glenbrook as needed
• Work weekends (every other weekend) and holidays as required
• Complete 8 hours of paid orientation on Mondays

Requirements

• Illinois Nurse License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• EPIC charting experience
• 2+ years of strong ICU experience specifically in Neuro and Stroke
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation with a passing score of 80% or higher at submission
• Submitted passed EKG test
• Updated resume
• Skills Checklist completed within 12 months
• One Reference completed within 12 months
• IL License Verification

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
