Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a 36-bed ICU, including neuro, cardiac, and medical surgical units. The position requires a dedicated ICU nurse to work 12-hour night shifts, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Start Date: 08/23/2026

Required Qualifications

• Illinois License
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• At least 2 years of strong ICU experience with EPIC Charting

Additional Details

• Float: As Needed
• ICU bed capacity: 36, divided into neuro, cardiac, and medical-surgical units
• Nurse to patient ratio: approximately 1:2 or 2-3 depending on acuity
• Orientation occurs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with six hours of paid hours prior to start
• Credentials are due Thursday before the start date
