About the role

Travel RN Endoscopy position at Henrico Doctors Hospital, Forest Campus (1602 Skipwith Road, Richmond, VA 23229). Unit: Endoscopy, Main Hospital, Cost Center 73325. Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday based on assignment.

Unit Specifics

  • Number of Beds: 2 endoscopy suites
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1 for circulating nurse; up to 2 patients for PACU; 1:1 during preop questioning, may be up to 1:3 if waiting
  • Unit staffing: 1 Circulator and 1 tech in the room; scope washer designated for the shift
  • Type of equipment: Olympus scopes, OER elite washer, ION robot
  • Documentation system: Meditech Expanse and Provation
  • Floating policy: Float to the ASC and other surrounding facilities as needed

Responsibilities

  • Circulate and assist with advanced endoscopy procedures
  • Perform procedures including Colonoscopy, EGD, Pill Cam, Bravos, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, ION, bronchoscopy, and robotic bronchoscopy

Requirements

  • More than 1 year of experience in endoscopy according to scope of practice
  • Ability to perform advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS
  • Advanced skills: ERCP, EUS, Robotic bronchoscopy, EBUS

Certifications Required

  • RN licensure (implied by discipline)
