This role involves leading educational initiatives, fostering continuous learning, and promoting evidence-based practice within the healthcare team to improve patient care outcomes. Job Details Shift Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited university or Masters in Nursing with coursework in curriculum development, adult learning theory, learning needs assessment, and learning outcome measurement from an accredited college or university; Four (4) years of progressively responsible nursing experience, including at least one year as a nurse educator or equivalent; Ability to apply a professional nursing code of ethics and guidelines to clinical practice; Ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and revise professional development and continuing education programs for nursing staff at the unit and organization-wide levels; Knowledge of adult instructional methods and theories, evidence-based practice, and standards of nursing practice; Licenses and Certifications: CA-RN (Registered Nurse) required upon hire, BLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing curricula that reflect sound education principles and incorporate evidence-based practice; Knowledge of current theories, principles, and practices of nursing and healthcare; Experience evaluating and documenting clinical competency of staff. Additional Information: The role involves developing, coordinating, managing, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programs, as well as assessing and supporting staff competency. The Nurse Educator will serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, promote continuous professional development, and facilitate evidence-informed practice and quality improvement projects. The position requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
