About the role

Emergency Room Registered Nurse position in Bemidji, Minnesota. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a 15-bed adult Emergency Department with a fast track area. The RN will implement the nursing process, assess patient needs, diagnose, develop and execute care plans, and document responses to health issues. Flexibility to float among units and work rotating shifts including nights, with every third weekend commitment.

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours
• Every third weekend
• Rotating days and evenings
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care in a 15-bed ER with 4 fast-track rooms and a triage area
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
• Manage procedures common to emergency care
• Badge in and out at the facility
• Wear navy blue scrubs
• Complete training for Epic electronic charting and Accudose medication delivery during orientation

Requirements

• Valid Minnesota state RN license
• Minimum of two years recent emergency room experience
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC certification
• Minimum one year experience working in an emergency department with annual visits around 28,000 or higher
• Trauma level III or higher experience preferred

• Experience floating to other units/departments as needed
