About the role
Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
The nurse will work in a 38-bed combined Emergency and Urgent Care unit with 5 trauma bays and resuscitation rooms. The unit treats 140–180 patients per day across a 24-hour period. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 in the ER and 1:6 in Urgent Care. Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, sepsis, syncope, elevated heart rate, headache, and suicidal ideation. Common drips include heparin, nitroglycerin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nicardipine, and norepinephrine.
- All nurses are expected to triage patients arriving by ambulance and walk-in patients
- RNs are responsible for drawing labs; phlebotomy handles blood cultures unless response time exceeds 20 minutes
- RNs are expected to monitor patient rhythms using GE monitors throughout the department
- RNs may assist with troubleshooting RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow; RT is available in-house 24/7
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience preferred; Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred; pediatric experience preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC
- ENPC encouraged but not required
Qualifications
The facility is an Adult and Pediatric Level 2 Trauma Center with STEMI receiving and Stroke Center designations. The emergency department operates 24/7 and is supported by ED physicians, mid-level providers including PAs and NPs, and urgent care physicians.

Pay
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2340. $500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS.
Schedule
36 hours per week. 12 hours, rotating. Straight weekend shifts with primary focus on evenings and nights, with possibility of variable scheduling including occasional day shifts. Every other weekend required. Every other holiday required. No on-call requirement; occasional standby may occur if census is low prior to shift start.
