The position involves providing specialized patient care across all age groups, including infants and geriatrics, with a focus on complex diagnoses and acute conditions. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment requiring adaptability and clinical expertise. Job Details: Schedule: Rotating night and evening shifts (19:00-07:30 / 15:00-03:30), with the possibility of 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI certification, completed during onboarding. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, with previous charge experience and experience working with patient ratios of 1:4 or higher preferred. Proficiency in charting systems such as Epic and experience working in community hospital, trauma level I or II, or LTAC facilities are required. Additional Qualifications: Prior experience managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and performing advanced emergency procedures is desirable. Float: Float to other ED locations, including affiliated facilities, as needed. Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions. Patient Care Details: Care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics, with a patient census of approximately 90 visits per day in a 36-bed emergency department equipped with 32 rooms. Additional Information: The position requires working every other weekend and scheduled holidays as they fall. Orientation includes 24 hours of onboarding. Candidates must adhere to local policies regarding time off, holiday scheduling, and compliance deadlines.
