This 15-week contract provides an opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment, serving a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The role involves managing high patient volumes, assisting with trauma and code cases, and providing specialized emergency care. Job Details: Schedule: Nights: 7 p.m. 7 a.m., minimum 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); minimum of 2 years of experience in a large volume Emergency Department with high acuity patient care; experience with barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage (must pass hospital triage test), chest tube setup, arterial lines, trauma and code assistance, splinting, Bipap/Vent management, and a solid understanding of ESI (Emergency Severity Index). Pediatric emergency medicine experience and Point of Care Labs familiarity are highly preferred. Patient Types: Neonate to geriatric; Level III trauma center; pediatrics (medical and trauma); stroke; cardiac; behavioral health; substance use disorder; high acuity pediatric patients; transfer out cases including neurosurgery and multi-system trauma. Patient Ratios: 1:3-5 based on acuity; fast track zone with 13 beds; ER set up in zones. EMR System: Epic (required). Float: Not required. Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, with potential for back-to-back weekends for flexibility. Shift times: Various options including nights (7 p.m. 7 a.m.) with minimum 36 hours weekly. Additional Information: The facility is a 226-bed Level III trauma center with a busy Emergency Department seeing 200-250 patients daily. Scrub attire can be any color with no logos. The position starts on 10/05/2026 and ends on 01/16/2027.
