Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Southern California. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Collect relevant patient data and analyze assessments
- Develop and implement care plans
- Evaluate patient progress
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, humane, and effective care
- Provide health education and participate in discharge planning
- Delegate duties appropriately
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- One year of experience in an acute care facility
- State of practice Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or CPI certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Adherence to safety standards
