Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,220 per week

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This role involves providing patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department with a focus on efficient and high-quality services. The nurse will work on night shifts, supporting a team dedicated to managing a diverse range of emergency cases in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a high-volume emergency department.
• Manage a diverse range of emergency cases, including chest pain, respiratory failure, abdominal pain, pediatric cases, and trauma cases.
• Work in triage and fast track areas within the ER.
• Adhere to nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 in the main ER, 1:5 in the lower acuity area, and 1:4-6 in the fast track.
• Participate in float rotation as required.

Requirements

• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an RN.
• Licensed to practice in the state of West Virginia.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency room settings (preferred).
• Familiarity with Electronic Patient Record (EPIC) system (preferred).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (preferred).

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, with weekends scheduled as part of the rotation.
• Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Shifts: 6:15 pm to 6:45 am.

• Unit features triage and fast track areas operating from 11 am to 11 pm.
• In-house pharmacy operates 24/7 without an on-site pharmacist; medications dispensed via Accudose system.
