Job Description & Requirements

Covenant HealthCare is seeking an experienced UM Clinical Project Manager to provide interim leadership, operational assessment, and change-management support for its Utilization Management department.

The consultant will serve as an extension of the Director of Revenue Cycle by providing clinical and Utilization Management expertise, assessing the department’s current operations, and helping implement improvements while minimizing disruption to the existing team.

The engagement is hybrid. The consultant will be required to work onsite in Michigan for the initial one to two weeks of the assignment and will then transition to remote work. The initial assignment is expected to last three to six months. The position may transition into a mentoring and onboarding role once Covenant HealthCare hires a permanent Utilization Management manager.

  • Identify coverage, skill-set, equipment, and process gaps
  • Recommend operational and workflow improvements
  • Support change management and team engagement
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership and Physician Advisors
  • Help stabilize the department and minimize disruption
  • Mentor the permanent UM manager, if hired during the assignment
