About the role
Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor Nurse in Fargo, ND. This 32-bed unit requires a Registered Nurse with at least two years of recent medical-surgical experience in a large hospital setting. The role involves assessing patients, documentation, medication administration, and utilizing equipment such as Epic electronic medical records and Alaris IV pumps. The position offers rotating 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday, with float coverage across various units within the facility.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday
- Rotation may include day, night, or a combination; schedules depend on unit needs, with self-scheduling possible
- Float to all units/departments within the hospital as needed
- Nurse to patient ratio is 4-5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights
- Travel within 60 to 80 miles from the facility is required; local candidates within 80 miles will have a reduced client rate
Requirements
- Active ND or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (willing to obtain)
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience in a large hospital setting (at least 250 beds experience preferred)
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records and Alaris IV pumps
- Candidates with previous employment at the organization must have an end date at least six months prior to submission

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
