Travel nurse RN position in the Cardiac PCU (Progressive Care Unit) at CJW Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Start date: October 19, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel. Unit details: 25‑bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit on floor 3 of the main hospital. EMR: Meditech.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on a 25‑bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient‑to‑nurse ratio.
• Perform procedures such as peritoneal dialysis (PD) and EKGs; note that most cardiac procedures are conducted in the Cath Lab.
• Manage admissions, discharges, transfers, and other unit activities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Utilize equipment including EKG machine, Hoyer lift, and LifePak.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Low probability of floating to Med‑Surg units.

Skills

• Must have: Telemetry experience and ability to read EKGs; ability to handle a fast‑paced unit with frequent admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures.
• Preferred: Prioritizes patient care and modifies plans in response to changing conditions using problem‑solving and good judgment; makes appropriate and timely notifications to physicians regarding patient condition changes.
