Responsibilities
- Specialize in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging and ensure high-quality images per established procedures
- Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address concerns to foster comfort and confidence
- Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Measure and prepare radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and correct localization
- Properly identify, prepare, and administer medications/substances within the technologist’s scope of practice under a licensed independent practitioner
- Complete quality assurance, adhere to radiation safety practices to reduce exposure, and maintain required documentation and records
Requirements
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience (required)
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a travel assignment with 40 hours per week
- Capable of performing job duties under general supervision
- Weekend rotation: Saturday and Sunday every 5th or 6th weekend as described
