Job Summary

A Kentucky-based healthcare provider is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in PET/CT imaging for a full-time assignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Certification: Certification in Nuclear Medicine through NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - RT-N)
  • Licenses: Kentucky State License for Radiation; Kentucky State Licensure for Nuclear Medicine
  • Training: Adequate training in Nuclear Medicine procedures
  • Experience: 1-2 years PET/CT imaging experience
  • Other: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; valid state drivers license, if applicable

Responsibilities

  • Pre-screening: Patients for contraindications
  • Aseptic Injection: Technique
  • Radiation Safety: Documentation
  • Diagnostic Images: Producing
  • Communication: With patients and radiologists
  • Training: New technologists and/or patients
  • Equipment Troubleshooting:
  • Diverse Environments: Working in various clinical settings
