Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist - $2,913 per week

About the role

We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) for an immediate travel opening in Dallas, TX. The right NMT must have 1 year of experience. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for the preparation of radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images. NMTs provide technical support to physicians or others who diagnose, care for, and treat patients and to researchers who investigate the uses of radioactive drugs. This is a 13‑week travel assignment with 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
• Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
• Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
• Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
• Provide assistance to patients during procedures
• Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience (note: some requirements list 2 years)
• BLS certification
• ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB‑CNMT
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

13‑week assignment; 40 hours per week; 8‑hour day shifts.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
