About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care, Level I Trauma Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using state-of-the-art equipment such as Siemens PET/CT Biograph Vision and Siemens E.CAM gamma cameras.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient patient care within the Epic EMR system.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education regarding nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
  • Active BLS certification required.
  • Active CNMT certification via NMTCB required.
  • DOT certification preferred at start; required within 90 days if extended.
  • State or Compact (NLC) Nuclear Medicine license required if applicable.
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration.
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire.

Qualifications

  • Reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
  • Not currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using the Epic EMR system.

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
