About the role
Seeking a Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostic professional to join a team at Towson, MD.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory and neuro diagnostic procedures under supervision.
- Set up and manage aerosol treatments, including masks and trachs.
- Administer medications such as albuterol, atrovent, lidocaine, and others as needed.
- Assist with intubation and extubation, and perform suctioning and chest physiotherapy.
- Manage ventilators and interpret arterial blood gas results.
- Provide patient transport and care in various settings, including emergency departments and critical care units.
- Follow protocols for handling infectious diseases like COVID-19 and pneumonia.
- Support patients with tracheostomies and provide appropriate care and management.
- Troubleshoot alarms and maintain equipment in optimal working condition.
- Interpret and document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT.
- Knowledge of adult critical care, aerosol treatments, and respiratory diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist or similar healthcare provider in Maryland.
