Job description
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) requires a dedicated Registered Nurse with Level IV NICU experience to provide care to a high volume of acute and intubated neonates. The nurse will be involved in managing complex medical conditions, providing support for neonates with surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological issues.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and provide nursing care for critically ill neonates
- Monitor and assess patient status, maintaining a focus on critical and high-acuity cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Servo ventilators, Nitric Oxide, and Giraffe beds
- Provide support for families during their child’s critical care journey
Required experience, certifications, and licensure
- Current OH or Compact RN License
- BLS Certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Level IV NICU experience
- Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care is mandatory
- Pediatric nursing experience is preferred
