Job description

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) requires a dedicated Registered Nurse with Level IV NICU experience to provide care to a high volume of acute and intubated neonates. The nurse will be involved in managing complex medical conditions, providing support for neonates with surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide nursing care for critically ill neonates
• Monitor and assess patient status, maintaining a focus on critical and high-acuity cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Servo ventilators, Nitric Oxide, and Giraffe beds
• Provide support for families during their child’s critical care journey

Required experience, certifications, and licensure

• Current OH or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Level IV NICU experience
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care is mandatory
• Pediatric nursing experience is preferred
