Travel NICU RN - $2,451 per week

About the role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a NICU position in Norfolk, Virginia (Virginia Beach/Norfolk area). The assignment starts 11/09/2026 for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The facility is CHKD’s Level IV, 70‑bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Virginia Beach/Norfolk region offers historic sites, beautiful beaches, wildlife refuges, a vibrant nightlife and dining scene, making it an attractive location for travel nurses.

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides and monitors individualized nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice.
• Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care to the assigned patient population.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with NICU experience.
• Minimum 3 years NICU experience (will consider 2 years from a large level III unit).
• Active RN license (compact accepted).
• Certifications: BLS and NRP.
• Annual flu vaccination required (no exemptions).

Pay

Pay rate: $2,389.00 – $2,512.00 per week (based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week; tax‑free stipend to be determined).

Schedule
