TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. The position is for an immediate opening, requiring 1-2 years' recent acute care experience. As a NICU RN, you will provide critical care to sick and premature infants, assist the care team in round‑to‑clock care, and support parents with emotional encouragement and guidance on infant care after discharge. Responsibilities

• Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Lift 10‑20 pounds of equipment as needed
• Be aware of potential hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases

Requirements

• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment
