About the role
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN float-pool position covering multiple facilities in the Boise, Idaho region, including levels II, 2B, and IV NICUs. The role requires specialized neonatal patient care, including attending deliveries, high-risk resuscitations, and stabilization of newborns. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with varied patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Attend deliveries and perform high-risk resuscitations
- Start IVs and draw labs
- Provide care for premature and respirator-dependent infants
- Work within patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
- Set titratable drips including Morphine, Dopamine, and Epinephrine
- Float between NICUs and to other pediatric areas or mother-baby units if experienced
Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support, American Heart Association or ARC)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE Certification
- 2 years of NICU experience required
- Travel experience preferred
Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Float rotation may be required
