About the role
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Bronx, New York. The RN will provide specialized nursing care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, adhering to standards set by the American Nurses Association and other relevant professional guidelines. The role involves active participation in performance improvement activities, maintaining clinical expertise, and demonstrating leadership within the unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Adhere to standards set by the American Nurses Association and other professional guidelines
- Participate in performance improvement activities
- Maintain clinical expertise in neonatal care
- Demonstrate leadership within the unit
- Utilize EPIC charting system
- Follow hospital policies regarding cancellation and staffing
Requirements
- New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- COVID Vaccine
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
Qualifications
- BSN Degree preferred
- Certification in specialty nursing (preferred)
- Effective communication skills in English
- Infection control training
- Experience with data entry and retrieval systems
Schedule
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift (11.5 hours worked)
- Minimum 34.5 hours per week
