Travel NICU Registered Nurse - $2,205 per week

About the role

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a Level IV NICU within a pediatric medical and surgical center. The role involves providing specialized care for critically ill neonates, including those requiring surgical interventions, respiratory support, and various diagnostic procedures. This position offers a dynamic environment dedicated to patient-and family-centered care for high-acuity neonatal patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for neonates with complex diagnoses such as congenital conditions, neurological disorders, respiratory distress, and post-surgical needs.
• Participate in patient-family education.
• Operate specialized equipment including ventilators, aEEG, and whole-body cooling devices.
• Float to care for patients less than 12 months old across units, including PICU, with required experience in post-op, g-tubes, trach/vents, and ventilation management.

Requirements

• Valid registered nurse license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in NICU, including at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU.
• Experience in post-operative care, ventilator management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation modes.
• Epic electronic medical record experience.
• Strict pass/fail testing with cardiac rhythm interpretation exams required prior to start.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts from 7:00am–7:30pm and 7:00pm–7:30am.
• Minimum of 36 hours per week.
