Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Evanston, Illinois, provides specialized care for critically ill neonatal patients, including micro preemies, high acuity cases, and surgical infants.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois nursing license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- At least 3 years of NICU experience in Level III or Level IV high acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Units
- Caring for infants with 44 weeks gestation micro preemies, some on respiratory support, and surgical cases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic charting
- High acuity NICU care
Float
Floating to other NorthShore facilities may be required; float assignments will be communicated up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled shift.
Additional Information
- The candidate will work in a high-acuity NICU caring for premature infants, including micro preemies and postoperative surgical neonates
- Follows facility-specific protocols and procedures
- Orientation includes 12 hours of training, which is non-billable

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
