Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin responsible for providing specialized care to high-risk newborns in a Level IV Trauma Center and Level III NICU. The role involves managing respiratory support, central lines, IV therapy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to high-risk newborns in a Level III NICU
- Manage respiratory support, central lines, and IV therapy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Schedule
- Days shift with 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- 13-week duration starting 08/24/2026
- Includes weekend rotations (every other weekend)
- Flexible scheduling based on staffing needs; no set or pattern schedules
- Time off requests require nurse manager approval
- No on-call duties
- Every other holiday based on start date
Requirements
- BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE certifications
- Level III NICU experience, providing care for high-risk newborns
- At least 2 years of NICU experience
- Valid Wisconsin nursing license

- Subsequent days with preceptor and work buddy
- Each traveler will have their own patient assignment
Floating
- First to the Women’s Care Center for newborn care only
- Float first for travelers
