Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized neonatal care in a Level III NICU within a general hospital setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure
- BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications (preferred)
- 2 years of experience in a Level III NICU
- Experience with neonate intubation, ventilation, oxygen therapy, nitrate oxide, CPAP, chest tubes, care of micropreemies, and delivery rooms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with neonate transport and support in PEDS units for NICU patients
Additional Information
- The unit supports a 24/7 Neonatologist and Nurse Practitioner in house.
- The charting system utilized is EPIC.
- Orientation includes general hospital training plus one shift on the NICU unit.
- Support on the Unit: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) ratio is 1:18. Phlebotomy lab draws are performed on-site. Bedside and unit telemonitoring systems are in use, with no tele tech support available.
- Scheduling Notes: Weekend rotation occurs every other week; no on-call requirement. Time off approval available up to 7 days.
