About the role
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to handle a diverse patient population, and effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care with a focus on safety and quality.
- Monitor and assess patient health and progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Utilize advanced telemetry equipment for monitoring patient vitals.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Float to other units as required based on census demands.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Successful completion of a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding process.
Schedule
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30).
- Every other weekend and holidays as needed.
