Travel MS/Tele RN - $1,694 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a Telemetry RN for an immediate travel nursing opening in Greensboro, NC. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays
• Connect patients to machines that measure heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, blood-oxygen levels, and electrocardiogram information
• Read and interpret telemetry data to better determine patient care
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify appropriate medical team members
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology

Requirements

• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience
• BLS, NIH, ACLS certifications
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
