About the Role

Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry in New Haven, CT. This is a 13-week assignment with night shifts.

Pay

$3,051 to $3,248 weekly (includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements).

Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (19:00 - 07:30)

Responsibilities & Skills

• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• Heparin Protocols
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Nasal Cannula and Oxygen tanks
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• PICC line management
• Substance Withdrawal care
• Telemetry (unit monitoring)
• Tracheostomy care/management
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Wound Care/Wound Vac

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Active CT License or Compact License
• Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred

• Patient Ratios: 5:1 (nights and weekends)
